On 25th December 2022, the Dhatri Patra Foundation celebrated Christmas at Home of Hope in Dodda Gubbi, Bangalore—a shelter for the elderly, children, and specially-abled individuals—bringing festive cheer and a sense of belonging to those in need. The event began with the joyful arrival of a volunteer dressed as Santa Claus, distributing gifts, chocolates, and Christmas caps to delighted residents. The day was filled with engaging activities such as musical chairs, dance competitions, and a Christmas quiz, all fostering laughter and connection. A grand cake-cutting ceremony and a festive meal featuring traditional dishes like plum cake and biryani added to the celebratory spirit. One of the most inspiring parts of the day was meeting Auto Raja, the founder of Home of Hope, whose story of transformation from an auto driver to a humanitarian touched every volunteer. His compassion and dedication to the marginalized left a lasting impression on the team. This heartfelt celebration not only spread holiday joy but also strengthened the Foundation’s commitment to supporting such homes regularly, ensuring that love, care, and festive spirit reach those who need it most.
