Visit to Esthur Shelter
On 23rd November 2024, the Dhatri Patra Foundation extended its outreach efforts with a meaningful visit to Esthur Shelter, aiming to support its residents through essential provisions and heartfelt community engagement. As part of its ongoing mission to uplift the underprivileged, the Foundation provided a range of necessities including food, clothing, and hygiene products to improve the residents’ daily living conditions. Beyond material aid, the team organized interactive and uplifting activities such as games and storytelling sessions, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere that brought smiles to many faces. Volunteers took the time to interact personally with the residents, listening to their stories, challenges, and hopes for the future—an experience that profoundly moved the team and strengthened their commitment to sustained social impact. The initiative, made possible through the generosity of local donors and dedicated volunteers, not only brought temporary relief but also illuminated the shelter’s ongoing needs. Motivated by this visit, the Foundation now plans to implement regular support initiatives and skill-building workshops, with the goal of empowering the residents and nurturing a more resilient, hopeful, and connected community.
